Our Story
A Journey Back to Purpose
Monks of Ethos was born from a desire to reconnect fashion with humanity. We observed how modern clothing had become disconnected from people, process, and purpose. Mass production led to loss of craft, wasteful consumption, and a disregard for the hands that make our clothes.
We asked ourselves: What if fashion slowed down? What if each garment told a story? What if clothing could be a reminder of presence and intention? This question became our journey — towards handmade khadi, traditional artisans, and clothing that respects time, earth, and human skill.

FAQ’s
To maintain the high-end, supportive feel of the Monks of Ethos brand, here is a concise "Between Sizes" FAQ section. This addresses common body type variations while reinforcing your philosophy of comfort and breathability.
The Golden Rule: Always prioritize your stomach measurement.
Linen has zero stretch. If the shirt is too tight at the waist, it will pull at the buttons and restrict your breath.
Example: If you are 5'7" with a 37" stomach, choose a Large. It is better to have a slightly longer shirt that flows than a short shirt that is too tight to wear comfortably.
For a Traditional Look: Size up. Linen is designed to drape away from the body, keeping you cool and relaxed.
For a Modern/Slim Look: Size down only if your stomach measurement is at least 2 inches smaller than the "Shirt Waist" listed in our chart.
The Monk’s Roll: Our shirts are designed for the journey. We recommend a simple double-roll of the cuff. This highlights the internal French seam craftsmanship and suits the relaxed aesthetic of the brand.
Tailoring: Because our linen is of the highest quality, it takes beautifully to minor alterations. A local tailor can easily hem the sleeves to your exact preference.
We use pre-shrunk 100% Khadi linen. However, to maintain the perfect fit, always wash in cold water and hang to dry. Avoid high-heat dryers, which can tighten the natural fibers.
